This is not your average sandwich shop serving thin sandwiches on plain white bread. OHHHHH NOOOO. Sandwiches are piled high with allll the good stuff and served on the heartiest of breads, all lunch meat sliced fresh, these tasty creations curated to please every palette! And if you're lucky, you'll catch a day when Shelly's famous chili is in stock, and after just one bite- you'll know what I mean! Eat it with a fresh roll, and a little Cooper's cheese and you might just experience heaven on earth! Well worth our 2 hour round trip!!

I was introduced to pork roll while dining here and it was by far the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten, hands down. The store itself has a cozy and hospitable feel, which is hard to find in the the northeast, and the owner is really helpful and kind. I can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu - challah French toast with homemade sausage on the side!? Yes please!

Fresh ingredients, exceptionally prepared food, charming atmosphere, and staff who were very friendly and attentive. The herbs in my eggs were homegrown. I asked the owner about them and she said that all of her herbs are grown in her garden during the summer and dried for winter. I'd definitely go back again.

I wanted to post a picture of my breakfast sandwich but I literally inhaled it before I could lol it was that good! Hot coffee, some plesant conversation with both the owner and a local patron alongside enjoying the ambiance of the rustic interior made my visit amazing. I also ordered a toasted blueberry muffin with butter which I can't wait to eat. Edit addition separate visit one day later: I had to come back the following morning and grab another amazing breakfast sandwich and I'm so glad I did! This time I had a ham egg and cheese with pepper and ketchup on a toasted kasier roll with a coffee and oj and man... It was amazing!! This time I was able to restrain myself long enough to take a few pictures so I've also updated my review to include those. There aren't many places like the Glen Gardener General Store left in NJ so do yourself a favor and stop reading this review and go already!! Any trucker or construction guys in the area please go and grab one of these breakfast sandwiches! They're close to a lb. In weight and if you like your yolk a little runny, Rich cooks them perfect!! Rich 'till I see you again my friend, take it easy and thank you!! This place is amazing, I will be back!! Go eat, talk, and enjoy already!

A hidden gem. And his home grown tomatoes are the best!

What a wonderful and interesting find. Super friendly woman who makes the soup from some of her own garden vegetables. Best grilled cheese I have had in years.
